  Tracy, founder of Blue Zaria, is an educator, with 25 years of experience teaching and organizing girls' STEM activities. She is a passionate traveler with an incurable wanderlust and an insatiable curiosity about the world. As she travels, she explores the local culture and girls' movement of each destination. These experiences challenge her ideas about the world and shape her views of her place in the global society. Through her passion for travel, culture and girls' education, she hopes to inspire Black girls and women to travel, to indulge in self-care, and to dare to be different by living life unconventionally.  For Dr. Marcelle Haddix, yoga, wellness, and healthy living are deeply personal and political.  Known as The ZenG, she is a 200-hour certified registered yoga instructor who specializes in yoga for underrepresented groups and community-based organizations.  She practices veganism and healthy, soulful living.  Her goal is to bring yoga to more communities of color and to challenge the misrepresentation of people of color and yoga, healthy living, and healthy eating.  She is unapologetic about living well and creating spaces for people of color to honor and care for their bodies and each other.  Her community engaged approach to yoga and wellness culminates in yoga and writing retreats for women & couples of color, yoga and mindfulness workshops in urban schools, and regular yoga classes & sistercircles in her community.  She is a dean’s associate professor and chair of the literacy department at Syracuse University and a nationally-recognized literacy scholar committed to centering Black literacies in educational practices and spaces.  Crystal curates transformative wellness retreats that marry the yoga and mindfulness traditions with her love of international travel, yielding a perfect union of both inner and outer exploration. As a yoga teacher, educator and a performing artist, Crystal is passionate about supporting self-expression, wellbeing, and agency in her students, believing that establishing comfort in the body creates the capacity for vitality, curiosity and creativity to flow freely. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT-500 and RCYT and leads Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher trainings. Crystal also facilitates professional development workshops and speaks nationally about the impact of yoga and mindfulness on the health and wellbeing outcomes of children, adolescents and adults. She provides personal counsel for clients, designs and consults on yoga and mindfulness curriculum for education programs, and teaches privately and in public classes in New York City. Crystal is a graduate of Stanford University and The American Conservatory Theater’s Master of Fine Arts program in Acting. She aims to build and strengthen community by starting with a deeper exploration of our individual, complex human selves.
