Itinerary  6 Day Paris, France 

Beautiful to explore any time of year, Paris in April in magical! Blossom filled chestnut groves, flower drenched city parks, plane tree covered boulevards, and noisy cafe terraces buzz with spring's new found energy. For six days, join Parisians as they head outdoors to enjoy blue skies and warm days


DAY 1 // Arrive in Paris

We’ll head to a nearby café to discuss valuable pointers on everyday French etiquette, ordering and tipping, and the social graces of the French. We’ll provide an introduction to the neighborhood, getting around on the metro system and interacting with the locals.

DAY 2 //  Spirit of Black Paris Tour

On this private half-day bus tour we'll journey past well-known and lesser-known areas of Paris. learning the rich Black history rarely told in guidebooks.  We will A see the home of Sally Hemings on the Champs-Elysées, stopp to photograph the theatre where Josephine made her first shocking splash, sweepi past the Petit Palais where artists Lois Mailou Jones, Henry O. Tanner, Palmer Hayden and others held exhibitions. From the south end of Paris we will drive through the center of the city – the Latin Quarter. In this heart of literature and art, we will pass the homes and favorite places of writers, intellectuals and artists. We'll head northward past the Madeleine Church site of Ms. Baker's funeral, then drive straight into the jazzy heart of vibrant Black Montmartre of the 1920s & 30s. DAY 3 //  Explore Paris

DAY 4 // Versailles Palace

 In the late afternoon we depart to Versailles for a tour of the Palace and see the Musical fountain display.

DAY 5 // Africa in Paris and Louvre

Buffet breakfast at hotel.

We'll head our for a walk in the less touristy parts of Paris and into a vibrant multi-ethnic working class neighborhood, at the foot of Montmartre Hill. We’ll walk through this lively area, and discover the history of immigration, the social and political background, and the African, Arabic and French makeup.  We’ll browse the Chateau Rouge open air market, petite spice and grocery shops, custom tailor workshops, hairdressers and wax cloth sellers. 

 In the late afternoon we depart on for the an Evening tour of the Louvre Museum.
